For controlling an LED with Node-RED I set up my flow according to the instructions in section 2.5. However, the box blow the rpi-gpio out node indicates "not available". If I klick the injection nodes nothing happens.

Well I have never had to do that. Perhaps something had become confused in the various trials you have been doing.
