Trying to Install on Win 7
https://nodered.org/docs/getting-started/windows
This link indicates it should be possible get up and running on win 7.
First step. Installing NodeJS from the link provided. Download the .msi from the link on this page. Ok
Run it and it only runs in Win 8.1+
So all legacy Win 7 ... No node-red
Bugger.
Support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020 by Microsoft.
You can try installing nodejs version between 12.13.0 to 13.0.0, this should work according google.
There is a workaround - YMMV
node.js, windows-7
BUT
The correct solution is "Windows 7 is dead" It should be dropped.
Correct, the documentation needs updating.
If you are still using Windows 7 you are risking yourself and your information since it has been out of support for so long. If you can't upgrade to Windows 10, you might want to consider changing to a supported version of Linux.
If anyone wants to PR an update to the Windows docs to reflect what is current in/out of support, we would be very grateful.
