Working Nodered UI browser connection no longer working. Now shows: "Please add some UI nodes to your flow and redeploy"

I have a deployment running on a system that has not had any updates to Linux nor NodeRed for the past couple of years - don't have the rev #'s just yet but working on getting.

Things have run flawlessly and just today any browser connection to the system just shows the Welcome message with the

"Please add some UI nodes and redeploy"

I have restarted the OS and the actual underlying system is still running the nodeRed code and controlling my automation normally. But I am not able to connect to the UI or the regular connection where I do all of the NodeRed development.

I am in the predicament of being years removed from the development and have forgot most of what I knew of getting NodeRed up and running and developing the project☹️.

Any advice on what the problem could be or how to approach it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum @mparshall

Please start by posting the node red startup log. Use a command window to stop node red and start it again and copy/paste the full startup log. Not screenshot please. It should start with Welcome to node red.
