Clarification on NR install and update in Rpi

Hi,
Just need some clarification with installation and upgrade of NR in ResPi:

According to the docs " If you have a version of Raspbian, or other Debian based install, such as Ubuntu , or Diet-Pi , that doesn’t have Node-RED already installed, you can install or upgrade using the Node-RED upgrade script command"

  1. What if I have the default NR already installed by Noobs, do I have to remove it first before running the script, if so what is the best way to cleanly remove it? Would I have two instances of NR if I do not remove the default one first?

  2. Where is the original NR that was installed by Pi located?

you can install or upgrade

Just run the script.

If node-red is already installed, the script will remove it.
