I have several equipment of the tapo brand, but I download the flow and when I use it it gives me an error and it doesn't connect, does it happen to you? Do you know what it can be?
My guess is that your switches are newer than the flow - TP-Link changed the security method for authentication a while back and lots of code (not only Node-Red) stopped running.
I've moved to a Python program using the library GitHub - almottier/TapoP100: A module for controlling the TP-Link Tapo P100 Plugs as this supports the current code level on my switches and call this from Node-Red as needed.
As such, a new Node was developed (and works)
Have been using the above Node, with the latest firmware on my P100's without issue
Apologies that does indeed exist. I had avoided it originally as it had warning flag (only minor) and ended up with the Python and bash scripts that have become embedded in lots of things outside Node-Red now
I have an isolated network for my IoT devices (WAN Access not allowed), and one day I needed to allow WAN on it, it was then my P100's all updated, and was locked out with the previous Node.
That's when I switched to the Node above, and have had no issue since.
The Warning Flag(s) - its very common, my own have one
as you said, if Minor, isn't really anything to be concerned about .
EDIT
Woah!
and have had issue since
-> and have had no issue since.
