Cannot access Node-Red from another LAN computer

Hey all,

I'm able to connect to my ui from localhost, but another computer on the same network as me cannot connect when using :1880/ui. I've tried every ip address from the host ipconfig /all and nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sounds like a firewall or something else at play. We'll need more info, for starters:

  • How is node-red installed (direct on computer? via docker? as a HA plugin etc)

  • What OS is Node-RED running on?

Yea direct install on Windows

what does ipconfig reveal?

what was the URL you used on the lan computer? (you can obfuscate the IP but its not really necessary)

can you show us the output of node-red when it starts (the text from the console)?

I believe that, by default, Windows firewall will not allow inbound connections. You will need to add an exception to the Windows Firewall.
